There is certainly a worldwide increase in the amount of pupils having to pay some other person to carry out their assignments, new research by Swansea University has found.
As much as one in seven present graduates might have taken part in agreement cheating – where students use ghostwriters to complete assignments – according to a report on studies from 2014 to provide. That is a figure that amounts to a prospective 31 million pupils around the world.
Also it’s probably be a conservative estimate, relating to learn co-author Professor Phil Newton, as those that participate in such acts are less likely to want to indulge in surveys about cheating.
“These findings underscore the necessity for legislation to tackle essay-mills, alongside improvements in the manner pupils are assessed and awareness-raising of this basics of academic integrity,” said Professor Newton, Professor at Swansea University in britain.
